In the 1955 model year, Chevrolet introduced the Cameo Pickup which became the predecessor of the modern truck styling.  Chevrolet incorporated styling features from its car line-up into a pickup and proved that a truck can be beautiful, as well as, dependable and rugged.  The part of this truck that saw the most styling changes was in the bed area.  In order to improve the aesthetic looks of the truck bed, Chevrolet added fiberglass side panels to create a smooth and sporty look.  The 1955 Chevrolet Cameo pickup was only offered in Bombay Ivory for the body with a bed accented by Commercial Red.  The interior was completed in a beige and red combination.  Chevrolet produced 5,220 Cameo Pickups in 1955.  This older, out-of-production 115 piece 1955 Chevrolet Cameo Pickup includes the following features: 1) Authentic custom flame decals; 2) Chrome parts; 3) Clear plastic window areas; 4) Detailed 265 cu. in. V-8 engine; 5) Detailed cab with movable fold-down bench seat; 6) Exterior options including outside sun visor and front bumper guards; 7) Hood can be displayed in the closed or open position; 8) Stock fluted wheel covers; 9) Vinyl whitewall Firestone tires and 10) Illustrated Assembly instructions.  The box is in like-new condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
