The 1958 Chevrolet Corvette featured a larger and restyled body as compared to the 1957 model.  It incorporated quad headlights and a large non-functional vent on the side cove.  While the 1959 Corvette retained these changes, it cleaned them up by eliminating the 1958 model's fake hood louvers and large chrome rear deck straps.  Inside a storage bin was added to the passenger side of the dash.  The greatest change came, however, under the hood where the 283 cu. in. V-8 engine put out 290 horsepower when coupled with the optional fuel-injection system.  While the 1959 Chevrolet Corvette often takes a "back-seat" to the 1957 and 1961 models, it is still a worthy car to carry the Corvette marque.  This older, out-of-production 85 piece 1959 Chevrolet Corvette can be built either as a stock or custom vehicle.  Other features included in this kit are as follows: 1) Authentic custom decals; 2) Chrome parts; 3) Clear plastic windshield; 4) Detailed fuel injected 290 horsepower, 283 cu. in.
