The 1965 Pontiac GTO was manufactured in the second year of the first generation of vehicles produced by General Motors from 1964 through 1967.  The Pontiac GTO was restyled for the 1965 model year but maintained much similarity to the 1964 model including its vertically mounted headlights.  The 1965 Pontiac GTO was slightly longer and offered a new simulated hood scoop which was very popular with younger car buyers.  The first generation of GTO's were offered in the following three body styles: 1) 2-door convertible; 2) 2-door hardtop and 3) 2-door coupe.  Engine choices included the 389 cu .in. V-8 or slightly larger 400 cu. in V-8.  These two engines could be paired with the following transmissions: 1) 2-speed automatic; 2) 3-speed manual; 3) 4-speed manual or 4) 3- speed automatic.  The 1965 Pontiac GTO is today, a much sought-after vehicle from the 1960s muscle car era.  This 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible scaled model includes the following features: 1) Chrome parts; 2) Clear plastic windshield; 3) Detailed V-8 engine with chrome performance parts; 4) Detailed interior; 5) Hood may be displayed in the closed or open position; 6) Vinyl redwall tires and 7) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in new condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
