The 1966 Chevrolet Nova was manufactured by the Chevrolet Division of General Motors in the first year of the second generation of production. The 1966 Nova included significant exterior styling changes based in part on the Super Nova concept car. While the general proportions were squared-up, however, the dimensions and features did not change in a significant way. The second generation of Chevrolet Novas came in the following body styles: 1) 2-door sedan; 2) 2-door hardtop; 3) 2-door convertible; 4) 4-door sedan and 5) 4-door station wagon. Engine choices ranged from the meek 153 cu. in. I-4 to the higher performance 327 cu. in. V-8. Transmission choices included the 4-speed manual, 3-speed manual or 2-speed "Powerglide" automatic. This 1966 Chevrolet Nova is part of AMT/Ertl's "Resto Rods" series of scaled car models. This scaled model includes the following features: 1) Can be built as a stock or customized muscle car using the "Resto Rods" parts provided; 2) Chrome parts; 3) Clear plastic window glass areas; 4) Detailed V-8 engine; 5) Detailed interior; 6) Hood can be displayed in the closed or open position; 7) Vinyl blackwall tires and 8) Illustrated assembly instructions. The box is in new condition. Never started and factory sealed.
