The 1967 Pontiac GTO was manufactured in the last year of the first generation of vehicles produced by General Motors from 1964 through 1967.  The Pontiac GTO received a few styling changes for the 1967 model year but maintained much similarity to the 1966 model including its vertically mounted headlights.  Styling refinements made to the 1967 Pontiac GTO included changes to the taillight, movement of the rear GTO emblems from the fenders down to the chrome rocker panels and changes to the front grille.  The first generation of GTO's were offered in the following three body styles: 1) 2-door convertible; 2) 2-door hardtop and 3) 2-door coupe.  Engine choices included the 389 cu .in. V-8 or slightly larger 400 cu. in V-8.  These two engines could be paired with the following transmissions: 1) 2-speed automatic; 2) 3-speed manual; 3) 4-speed manual or 4) 3- speed automatic.  Perhaps the greatest change in the 1967 Pontiac GTO centered on safety related improvements made in the vehicle interior.  These safety related changes included the following: 1) Energy absorbing steering column; 2) Energy absorbing steering wheel; 3) Padded instrument panel; 4) Non-protruding control knobs and 5) 4-way emergency flashers.  The 1967 Pontiac GTO is today, a much sought-after vehicle from the 1960s muscle car era.  This 1967 Pontiac GTO 2-door hardtop scaled model includes the following features: 1) Chrome parts; 2) Clear plastic windshield; 3) Detailed V-8 engine with chrome performance parts; 4) Detailed interior; 5) Hood may be displayed in the closed or open position; 6) Vinyl blackwall tires and 7) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in new condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
