Plymouth's concept of the "Hemi" powered RoadRunner was to build and market an affordable, no frills car with the performance-minded driver in mind.  In pursuing this goal, they took a light, inexpensive model and decked it out with high-performance parts to make it run like a race-car straight from the factory.  This marketing approach resonated with the "street-rodder" group of car buyers who went wild with the idea of being able to purchase a reasonably priced performance car saving them the trouble of having to purchase and install after-market performance equipment.  When equipped with the 425 horsepower, 426 cu. in. "Hemi" V-8 engine, 4-speed manual transmission and dual quad carburetors, the Plymouth Roadrunner became one of the fastest cars on the street and later a much sought-after classic muscle car.  This older, out-of-production 95 piece 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner Hardtop scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic full color decals; 2) Chrome parts; 3) Clear plastic window glass areas; 4) Detailed 425 horsepower, 426 cu. in. "Hemi" engine with dual quad carburetors; 5) Detailed interior; 6) Hood can be displayed in the closed or open position; 7) Optional cross-ram manifold; 8) Optional stock wheel covers or custom centerline wheels; 9) 4-speed manual transmission; 10) Vinyl blackwall Goodyear Polyglas GT tires.  The box is in excellent condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
