By any standard, the 1957 Chevrolet must be considered the "definitive" American car of the iconic 1950s. It was the last and arguably the best of the "classic" Chevy's produced for the 1955, 1956 and 1957 model years. The 1957 Chevy combined a stylish redesigned body powered by a 283 cu. in. V-8 which put out from 185 to 283 horsepower for the top-end, fuel-injected version. Many engineering changes lead to improved performance and reliability while styling changes lead to a longer, lower body. It is the combination of performance, engineering improvements and classic styling which has made the '57 Chevy one of the most collected classic cars be it in restored stock condition or as a custom or high performance street rod. This older, out-of-production '57 Chevy Hardtop can be built as the popular stock version or customized street rod. Other features of this '57 Chevy Hardtop include the following: 1) CB Radio; 2) Chrome parts; 3) Clear plastic window glass areas; 4) Custom flame decals; 5) Customized hood scoop; 6) Customized five-spoke alloy wheels; 7) Detailed 283 cu. in. small block V-8 engine with alternative fuel injection or dual quad carburetors; 8) Hood can be displayed in the closed or open position; 9) Molded in red colored plastic; 10) Vinyl simulated steel belted radial tires and 11) Illustrated assembly instructions. The box is in excellent condition. Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
