Perhaps one of the most maligned automobiles to ever be produced, the Edsel Pacer was only available for the 1958 model year.  Introduced with much fanfare in the fall of 1957, the 1958 Edsel was a marketing disaster for the Ford Motor Company.  In total, just under 21,000 vehicles of all body styles were maufactured before production ceased.  The Edsel Pacer represented the top-of-the line vehicle for the short lived Edsel brand.  It had contoured seat backs, upgraded upholstery cloth, color keyed floor mats and extra exterior an interior stainless steel trim.  Optional equipment included an air conditioner.  The Edsel Pacer came in the following body styles: 1) 2-door convertible; 2) 2-door hardtop; 3) 4-door hardtop and 4-door sedan.  The Edsel Pacer came standard with a 361 cu. in. V-8 engine attached to either a 3-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission.  This 130 piece '58 Edsel Pacer scaled model includes the following features: 1) Chrome parts; 2) Clear plastic window glass areas; 3) Detailed 361 cu. in. V-8 engine; 4) Detailed interior; 5) Hood can be displayed in the closed or open position; 6) Poseable front wheels; 7) Separate frame and floor pan; 8) Vinyl B.F. Goodrich Silvertown tires with whitewall inserts and 9) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in new condition.  Factory sealed and never started.
