The AH-64 Apache Helicopter is a four blade, twin turbine engine attack helicopter with twin seating that was developed in the mid 1970s to replace the Huey AH-1 Cobra gunship. The Apache features a nose-mounted sensor suite for target acquisition and night vision. The Apache is armed with a 30 mm "Chain Gun" mounted under the helicopters forward fuselage and can carry combinations of Hellfire and Hydra rocket pods on hard points on either side of the aircraft under its stub wings. Initially deployed in 1984, the AH-64 Apache Helicopter is now actively flown by the United States Army, Israeli Air Force, Royal Netherlands Air Force and with the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force. This 134 piece AH-64 Apache Helicopter scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for an Apache AH-64 as flown by the United States Army; 2) Clear plastic cockpit glass; 3) Detailed "Chain Gun" that rotates; 4) Detailed cockpit with consoles, instrument panels and seats; 5) Detailed engine pods; 6) Detailed landing gear; 7) Detailed rotors that spin; 8) Externally mounted Hellfire missiles and rocket pods; 9) Molded in olive drab colored plastic; 10) Recessed panel lines; 11) Two seated crew figures and 12) Illustrated assembly instructions. The box is in new condition. Never started and factory sealed.
