The AH-64 Apache is considered by most to be the world's best armed helicopter gunship and has been in service with the United States Army for over 20 years.  While it was designed primarily as an antitank helicopter to combat potential Soviet armored formations invading Western Europe, it achieved lasting fame by playing a large part in the destruction of Iraqi armor during Operation Desert Storm.  In fact, when the dust settled on the battlefield, it was second only to the United States Air Force's A-10 Thunderbolt II "Warthog" in lethality.  More recently, the AH-64 Apache has once again proved its effectiveness and versatility by performing deep penetration missions, convoy escort and close-in air support for N.A.T.O. ground troops fighting in Afghanistan.  The book, AH-64 Apache Walk Around (# 52) represents an inside and out pictorial study of one the best all-around helicopter gun-ships ever produced.  In addition to an informative Introduction and picture captions, "AH-64 Apache Walk Around (# 52)" includes the following features: 1) 5 black and white photographs; 2) Approximately 201 color photographs; 3) 2 black and white illustrations; 4) 11 color illustrations; 5) 12 color side aircraft profile illustrations; 6) 1 three-view AH-64 A, AH-64 D black and white illustration and 7) 2 color cover paintings.  This book is 80 pages and is in new condition.  The author is Jonathan Bernstein with Don Greer (colorist) and Ike Anderson (ilustrations).  Edition published in 2008.
