The book, Decisive Force: Strategic Bombing in the Gulf War comes from a collection of books celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the United States Air Force in 1947.  This edition chronicles the use of strategic bombing during the Gulf War.  As the author points out, in this war the United States Air Force demonstrated that a new era in strategic bombing had begun.  Air power could now destroy key enemy installations without having to resort to nuclear or saturation bombing.  By employing new technologies related to the delivery of ordinance, the jamming of the enemies radar capabilities and using stealth aircraft, the United States Air Force found that they could destroy most of the intended enemy targets with a minimal amount of collateral damage.  The strategic bombing campaign utilized so decisively during the Gulf War will certainly cause future aggressor states to hesitate to call this type of destuction down upon itself.   The main sections of this book are as follows: 1) Strategic Air Power in Desert Storm; 2) Post Vietnam Changes in Technology and Doctrine; 3) The Kuwait Crisis, U.S. Deployment and War Plans; 4) The Persian Gulf Conflict; 5) The Initial Attacks; 6) The Strategic Air Campaign Concluded; 7) The "Core" Strategic Target Sets; 8) Self-Defense Targets; 9) Mixed Target Sets; 10) Conclusion; 11) Notes and 12) Suggested Readings.  This book includes 16 vintage black and white photographs, five illustrative charts and one map.  The photographs are grouped as follows: 1) Gulf War Aircraft; 2) Gulf War Planners; 3) Gulf War Weapons and 4) Gulf War Results.  This book is 85 pages and is in excellent condition.  The author is Richard G. Davis.  Edition published in 1996.
