The Ala-Kart custom hot rod was designed and built by legendary custom car creator George Barris for Richard Peters of Fresno, California in the late 1950s.  This custom vehicle which was based on a 1929 Ford pick-up has won many awards including the prestigious "World's Most Beautiful Roadster" at the famous Oakland Roadster show.  Setting trends for hot rods, the Ala Kart includes an air-bag suspension, custom formed grille and hood, fully chromed undercarriage, fuel-injected Dodge engine, electrically driven emergency brake system, multiple coat pearl paint job and a one piece-removable top.  This Ala-Kart hot rod scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic custom graphics; 2) Air-bag suspension; 3) Clear plastic window glass areas; 4) Choice of three engines including; a) Dodge Red Ram Hemi (1958-1959, b) Fuel Induction System (1959-1962) and c) Fuel-injection system (1963); 5) Chromed Undercarriage; 6) Custom formed Hood and Grille; 7) Electrically-actuated Emergency Brake System; 8) One piece removable top and 9) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in new condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
