The book, Amtracs In Action (# 31), covers the use of Amphibious Tractors as used in the latter battles of the Pacific combat theater during World War II. Designated LVT (Landing Vehicles Tracked), these amphibious tractors served as armored personnel carriers (APCs), cargo and fire support vehicles during amphibious landings against Japanese held islands in the Pacific Ocean. Included in this book are the following: 1) Over 100 black and white photographs; 2) 40 detailed scale drawings and 3) 13 full color paintings. This book is 50 pages. The author is Jim Mesko with Don Greer and Tom Tullis (colorists) and Joe Sewell (illustrations). Edition published in 1993.
