The Czechoslovakian Avia CS-199 was a two-seat, single engined, metal constructed monoplane trainer that was based on the Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-12 variant and was built shortly after the conclusion of World War II .  The maiden flight of the CS-199 prototype was on January 24th, 1949 and in all approximately 81 copies of this Jumo-211 powered aircraft were manufactured before production ceased.  The Jumo-211 powered CS-199 generated between 1,340 h.p. and 1,420 h.p. depending on the engine variant.  The CS-199 incorporated an Arado Ar-96 B type canopy and had a new wheel axis.  The CS-199 was armed with two 13 mm Rheinmetal-Borsig MG-131 machine guns which were frequently removed and had the following operational characteristics: 1) Top speed of about 275 m.p.h. and 2) Service Ceiling of just over 31,000 feet.  This older, out-of-production CS-199 model is molded in light gray colored plastic and includes the following features: 1) Authentic post World War II markings for an aircraft flown by the Czechoslovakian Air Force; 2) Clear plastic canopy; 3) Recessed panel lines; 4) Painting guide and 5) Illustrated assembly instructions.  This CS-199 Kit is desirable because it is one of the few two seat versions of the basically similar Bf-109 G-12 available in 1/72 scale.  The box is in excellent condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
