The B-26 Marauder was a twin engine, high wing medium bomber built during World War II by the Glenn L. Martin Company.  Although referred two among American pilots as the "widowmaker" due to a large number of fatal training accidents early on in its deployment, it went on to be used in large numbers in the Mediterranean, Pacific and Western Europe combat theaters.  The B-26 Marauder carried a crew of seven and had the following operational characteristics: 1) Top speed of just under 290 m.p.h.; 2) Combat range of just under 1,200 miles and 3) Service ceiling of 21,000 feet.  The B-26 Marauder carried up to twelve .50 caliber machine guns along with a bombload of up to 4,000 lbs.  Almost 5,300 B-26's of all variants were produced between 1941 and 1945.  This older, out-of-production B-26 Marauder model is molded in light gray plastic and includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for B-26 "Yankee Guerrilla" as operated by the United States Army Air Corp. during World War II: 2) Clear plastic cockpit, fuselage and nose glass areas: 3) Closed or open bomb bay doors; 4) Detailed engines; 5) Detailed landing gear; 6) Four bombs; 7) Rear boarding ladder; 8) Recessed panel lines; 9) Rotating Propellers; 10) Rotating turrets and elevating guns; 11) Painting guide and 12) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in excellent condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
