The UH-1N Iroquois is a twin-engine helicopter developed by the Bell Company.  The original model made its maiden flight in 1968 and as of 1987 about 600 units of all variants had been produced.  The Iroquois was widely used by the United States Army, Air Force and Marine Corps.  While originally equipped with the PT6T-3B engines, later variants utilized the PT6T-3 engines, which gave the Iroquois improved performance.  The improved version AB 212 ASW, designed through technical cooperation with the Italian firm Agusta, was equipped with a sophisticated sonar system and an automatic hovering system, which transformed the Iroquois into an anti-submarine, anti warship helicopter.  The UH-1N was also utilized by the United States Air Force for general purposes at American bases around Japan.  The operating characteristics are as follows: 1) Top speed of 161 m.p.h.; 2) Range of 261 miles and 3) Service ceiling of 14, 206.  This Bell UH-1N Iroquois scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a Bell UH-1N Iroquois as operated by the United States Air Force & Marine Corps, as well as, the Italian Navy; 2) Clear plastic cockpit and fuselage “glass areas”; 3) Detailed cockpit; 4) Doors can be assembled in the closed or open positions; 5) Molded in a medium gray colored plastic; 6) Recessed panel lines; 7) Separately molded machine guns; 8) Painting guide and 9) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in very good condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
