The Boeing 247 was the forerunner of today's airliners and was available for use as a commercial transport before the more famous Douglas DC-3.  The Boeing 247 incorporated such advanced features as all-metal consturction, retractable landing gear, de-icers and controllable pitch propellers.  This Boeing 247 kit can be finished in either Colonel Roscoe Turner's 1930s racer or united Airlines NC 13347.  Included in this kit are the following features: 1) Two types of windshields; 2) Soft landing gear tires; 3) Landing gear can be installed in the retracted, struts extended or struts compressed positions; 4) Long-range fuel tanks and accessories as used in Colonel Turner's MacRobertson Race airplane; 5) Passenger seats for a United Airlines transport; 6) Clear plastic display stand; 7) Authentic markings for both racing and airliner versions and 8) Iluustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in excellent condition.  Never opened and factory sealed.
