The Bristol Blenheim I was a British twin-engine fighter-bomber that was selected by the Royal Air Force (RAF) for series production in 1936.  By 1937 Bristol Blenheim Is had equipped one RAF Squadron.  Bristol Blenheim Is saw significant action early in World War II.  As the war progressed they were later used as both long-range fighters and night intruders by regular and auxiliary squadrons.  Good performance and aircraft versatility ensured that it would be used operationally throughout World War II.  The Blenheim I had the following operational characteristics: 1) Top speed of 260 mph; 2) Combat range of 1,125 miles and 3) Service ceiling of 27,000 feet.  The Blenheim I carried one forward firing .303 caliber machine gun with two additional .303 caliber machine guns housed in a turret amidships.  Blenheim Is could carry 1,000 pounds of bombs while the night version carried 320 pounds on external racks beneath the fuselage.  This old Bristol Blenheim I scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a Bristol Blenheim I operated by the RAF during World War II; 2) Beautiful 1950s vintage box art; 3) Clear plastic canopy and turret; 4) Clear plastic display base; 5) Molded in black colored plastic; 6) Painting guide and 7) Illustrated assembly instructions.  Note: one propeller blade has broken off from hub assembly.  While it is present, it will need to be glued back on to the propeller hub.  The box is in good condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
