The Bristol Bulldog was a British inter war era single seat, bi-plane fighter that was designed by Captain Frank Barnwell. This pugnacious fighter went through many modifications before emerging as the II A in 1933. It was constructed with steel tubing, fabric covered and did have a small amount of aluminum sheet steel which covered the front part of the fuselage. The Jupitor V11F engine enabled it to reach 174 m.p.h. at 10,000 feet. A two-way short wave radio was installed behind the pilot and two Vickers .303 machine guns were installed to fire between the engine cylinders. This fighter was used as both a day and night fighter and it could carry up to four 20 lb. bombs. This older, out-of-production Bristol Bulldog kit is molded in gray plastic. Features included in the kit are: 1) Authentic markings for an aircraft flown by the R.A.F. and 2) Illustrated assembly instructions. Note: the pricing of this Bristol Bulldog model reflects the fact that it is mssing its clear plastic wind screen. The model package is in very good condition. Never started and with the exception of the missing wind screen is 100 % complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
