The Bristol Type 192 is a British heavy lift helicopter flown by the Royal Air Force and was first deployed in 1958.  The Bristol Type 192 is capable of fullfilling a variety of service roles including the following: 1) Attack; 2) Air Ambulance; 3) Anti-submarine warfare; 4)  Equipment transport; 5) Minsweeping; 6) Rescue; 7) Target tug and 8) Troop transport.  This twin engined, twin rotor helicopter can lift up to 6,000 pounds which allows it to carry twelve stretchers and two nurses, 3 tons of freight or eighteen fully equipped soldiers.  A novel feature of the Bristol Type 192 helicopter is that if one engine fails, the other can temporarily develop enough incremental horsepower to allow the aircraft to proceed with its mission as if the other engine had not failed.  The overall fuselage length is 54 feet, 4 inches, the tail span is 18 feet, ten inches and the rotor diameter is 48 feet, 8 inches.  This older, out-of-production Bristol Type 192 model is molded in gray plastic and includes the following: 1) Authentic markings for a helicopter operated by the Royal Air Force; 2) Clear plastic cockpit and fuselage glass areas; 3) Detailed cockpit; 4) Detailed landing gear; 5) Recessed panel lines with rivet detail; 6) Paint guide and 7) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in very good condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
