This, British Coldstream Guard 1815, model figure represents an infantryman of the 2nd Foot Guards which was one of the battalions of Guards at the famous Battle of Waterloo. This Guard soldier carries a smooth bore "Brown Bess" musket. This weapon although inaccurate at long range could, when handled by a well trained soldier, be fired about twice per minute for limited periods. The "Brown Bess" had a socket outside the barrel which allowed the soldier to insert a 15 inch bayonet for close quarter fighting. This British Coldstream Guard 1815 model figure is molded in off-white plastic and includes the following features: 1) "Brown Bess" musket; 2) Display base; 3) Multi-position arms; 4) Two different bayonets options and 5) Illustrated assembly instructions. The model package is in very good condition but some of the plastic parts have been exposed to light and have begun to yellow. Never started and 100% complete with all parts and instructions inventoried.
