The Valentine Mk III Infantry Tank was the most numerous British tank manufactured in World War II and was considered by most to be a low cost and highly reliable armored vehicle. The tank reached trials in May, 1940 with over 6,855 units manufactured in the UK and another 1,420 being produced in Canada. It saw service in the North African campaign, earning a reputation as a reliable and well protected vehicle. In was also exported to the U.S.S.R. and was used from the Battle Of Moscow until the end of the war. Limited numbers of the Valentine also saw service in the Pacifica theater of combat. In Europe and the Pacific it was largely replaced by the U.S. M4 Sherman and British Churchill Tanks by 1944. This older, out-of-production British Infantry Tank Mk. III "Valentine" model, which is molded in tan plastic and is part of Bandai's "Pin Point Series" of armored fighting vehicles, includes the following features: 1) Authentic British Army markings for a tank operated during World War II; 2) Four tank crewman molded in olive drab plastic; 3) Detailed chassis and turret; 4) Detailed engine; 5) Opening engine compartment hood; 6) Two black vinyl tracks and 7) Illustrated assembly instructions. The box is in good overall condition but does have writing on the top of the package. Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
