The S.E.5 was a British biplane fighter produced by the Royal Aircraft Factory during World War I.  The S.E.5 along with the Sopwith Camel biplane fighter were instrumental in regaining Allied air superiority during the summer of 1917 and maintaining it thereafter through the end of the war.  The S.E.5 A had a 200 h.p. Hispano-Suiza engine and had the following oeprational characteristics: 1) Top speed of 126 m.p.h.; 2) Combat range of about 300 miles and 3) Service ceiling of approximately 17,000 feet.  The S.E.5 carried two .303 caliber machine guns and had external hardpoints under the two lower wings to carry up to four small bombs.  This older, S.E.5 A model was produced in the late 1950s, is molded in yellow color plastic and includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for and aircraft operated by the Royal Air Corp. during World War I; 2) Beautiful box art; 3) Clear display stand; 4) One pilot and one crew figures; 5) Partial aircraft dolly and 6) Simulated fabric aircraft covering.  Note: the price of this British S.E. 5 A model reflects the fact that it is missing the illustrated assembly instructions, as well as, one dolly wheel and a tiny clear plastic wind screen which will both have to be sourced from your "spares" box.  The box is in very good condition.  Never started and 100% complete accept as noted above with all parts and decals inventoried.
