The C-47 was the World War II military cargo and troop transport version of the legendary Douglas DC-3 twin engine airliner.  It was made famous for its use in the Allied Normandy Invasion on June 6, 1944 and in the post-war Berlin Airlift in 1948.  Many of these reliable propeller-driven aircraft are still in service throughout the world.  This older, out-of-production, C-47 Skytrain scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for two different World War II aircraft including Buzz Buggy of the 9th Air Force with Confederate Air Force markings for the restored version of that aircraft and the Turf and Sport Special along with additional British Royal Air Force markings; 2) Clear plastic cockpit and window glass areas; 3) Detailed cockpit with instruments, radio equipment, navigator's desk, seats and restroom; 4) Detailed radial engines; 5) Detailed fuelage interior including bulkheads and troop benches; 6) Molded in olive drab colored plastic; 7) Optional position cargo and passenger doors; 8) Recessed panel lines; 9) Rotating propellers and wheels; 10) Three crew figures; 11) Nine paratroopers and 12) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in excellent condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
