The book, Camouflage & Markings: N.A. Mustang - RAF Northern Europe (1936 - 45) Number 2, is a concise but authoritative review of the paint schemes and markings used on the North American Mustang variants as operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF) in Northern Europe between 1941 and the end of World War II in 1945.  This book reviews the many changes in both paint schemes and markings that were used on the various marks of Mustangs produced during World War II.  In general, the paint schemes evolved based on changes in the operational requirements faced by the RAF units flying this legendary fighter.  In addition to an informative narrative, "Camouflage & Markings: N.A. Mustang - RAF Northern Europe (1936 - 45) Number 2" includes the following features: 1) Approximately 50 black and white photographs; 2) 12 black and white Mustang I side elevations of representative aircraft 1941 - 1945; 3) 1 five-view color illustration of a four cannon Mustang IA of No. 168 Squadron, R.A.F., 1944; 4) 1 one-page Mustang I camouflage illustration of typical patterns as applied to Mustangs operating in the European combat theater 1941 - 1945; 5) 1 one-page Mustang I national insignia illustration of typical markings as applied to Mustangs operating in the European combat theater 1941 - 1945; 6) 3 black and white side view painting guide illustrations for representative Mustang IV aircraft in 1945 and 7) 1 five-view color illustration of a Mustang III of No. 122 Squadron R.A.F., Andrews Field, October 1944.  This book is highly recommended for anyone interested in building an accurate N.A. Mustang scaled model of an aircraft operated by the RAF in the European combat theater during World War II.  This book is 23 pages and is in good condition.  The author is Robert C. Jones with Richard L. Ward (illustrations).  No edition publishing date given.
