This postcard depicts a scene of the ramp area in front of the Chicago Municipal Airport terminal. Several Douglas D.C.-3 twin engine airliners are being serviced in the foreground with a number of vehicles next to the D.C.-3 on the left-hand side. A medium blue sky with numerous white clouds provides the backdrop for this airport scene. The legend on the back of the postcard reads: "Located on Chicago's southwest side, the Municipal Airport serves all of the major airlines in the country and is one of the busiest airports in the world". It is identified as 47 and 6316.8. This postcard has writing on the back with numerous black ink stains. While the front of this postcard would grade out as very good, the writing and ink stains on the back causes the postcard to grade overall as just fair.
