The Churchill tank began service in 1941 and quickly became the main British infantry tank early in World War II. It sacrificed speed for heavy armor, good fire power and good cross-country performance. The Churchill tank was used during the ill-fated Dieppe landings in France and later in North Africa at El Alamein. Progressive development of the basic design led to heavier armament, armor and a redesigned welded hull. This older model of the British Churchill medium tank includes the following: 1) A traversing turrent and elevating gun; 2) Detailed road wheels with seperate suspension arms and 3) Single piece flexible rubber type tracks. The box is in investment quality condition. Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
