The book, Civil War Times: Special Gettysburg Edition, reviews the epic American Civil War Battle of Gettysburg fought July 1-3, 1863 between Confederate forces lead by Robert E. Lee and Union forces lead by Major General George Gordon Meade.  The Battle of Gettysburg resulted in 23,005 and 23,231 casualties for the Union and Confederate Armies respectively.  The Battle of Gettysburg is widely accepted as the high-water mark for the Confederacy from a military standpoint.  After this epic confrontation, the momentum of battle shifted in favor of the Union Army and for the remainder of the Civil War, the Confederate forces were, more often than not, on the defensive.  This Special Gettysburg Edition represents a compendium of articles written by different authors.  The Main Articles found in this publication are as follows: 1) The Story of the Three Days at Gettysburg by Edward J.
