   The 1957 Chevrolet Corvette was produced in the second and last year of the second two year production run of the first generation of this iconic American sports car.  Among the many enhancements featured in the second generation of Corvette sports car are the following: 1) All new body; 2) Improved convertible top with power assist available as an option; 3) Optional hardtop; 4) Standard glass roll-up windows; and 5) Three speed manual transmission as standard equipment.  While the 1957 Corvette was very similar to the 1956 model in appearance, there were several changes as follows: 1) Fuel injection was available as an option; 2) Increased V-8 engine cu. in. displacement from 265 to 283; 3) Optional 4-speed manual transmission and 4) Two tone paint packages.  Rare 1957 Corvette options included the following: 1) 283 horsepower engine; 2) Fresh-air/tachometer package; 3) Heavy duty racing suspension and 4) Power windows.   This Corvette 50th Anniversary: 1957 Corvette scaled model includes the following features: 1) Chrome parts; 2) Clear plastic windshield; 3) Detailed small-block V-8 engine; 4) Detailed interior with floor mounted gear shift lever; 5) Hood can be displayed in the closed or open position; 6) Vinyl blackwall tires; 7) Painting guide and 8) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in new condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
