In 1925, the Curtiss Aeroplane And Motor Company, designed and built two variations of the R3C Racer for both the United States Army and Navy.  The Navy variant designated the R3C-2 was subsequently piloted by famed aviator, Jimmy Doolittle in the Schneider Air race which he handiliy won on October 25, 1925.  The restored Curtiss R3C-2 Racer is now part of the Smithsonian Institutions airplane exhibits in Washington, D.C..  This early 1960s kit is an authentic reproduction of one of America's most famous Air Racers and includes 19 beautifully molded parts.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
