The de Haviland DHC-1 Chipmonk was originally desigined and built in Canada. The first flight of this two seat elementary trainer aircraft occurred on May 22, 1946. Designated Chipmonk T.10, the type entered service in 1950. This aircraft type became standard equipment for the University Air Squadrons. A bubble canopy was fitted to Canadian aircraft many of which are still flying in many countries throughout the world. This kit includes authentic decals for a Chipmonks operated by the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Cambridge University Air Squadron respectively. The package is in excellent condition. Factory sealed and never started.
