The DeHaviland D.H. 89 Dragon Rapid was a British short-haul passenger airliner of the 1930s.  Designed late in 1933 as a faster and more comfortable successor to the D.H. 84 Dragon, it was in effect a twin-engined, scaled-down version of the four-engined D.H. 86 Express.  The D.H. 89 Dragon Rapid went on to become the most successful British built commercial passenger aircraft of the 1930s.  Due to its reliability and versatility the D.H. 89 Dragon Rapid saw considerable service as a liaison and military passenger aircraft during World War II.  This D.H. 89 Dragon Rapid kit is an older, out-of-production kit from New Zealand.  Included in this kit are the following: 1) Heller Rapide plastic parts; 2) Five Scale master decal options; 3) Falcon Clear-Vax vacuformed optional canopy; 4) White metal instrument panels; 5) Wire for Rigging and 6) Canopy tinting material.  Note: this kit is missing its original instructions.  The model box is in excellent condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
