The movie, Dive Bomber, was released to movie theaters just prior to America's involvement in World War II. The plot of this film focuses on a flight medical researcher and a squadron commander who must put personal differences aside in order to confront the very real problems of blackout-inducing G-forces and high altitude sickness. This film was produced at a time when most Americans felt that the United States would be thrust into World War II. The only question seemed to be when and where. To this end, "Dive Bomber" highlighted the challenges of a nation preparing for war. Of interest is the fact that the U.S.S. Enterprise, an aircraft carrier that was to become legendary during World War II was seen in several of the movie scenes. This DVD also includes the featurette titled Dive Bomber: Keep 'Em in the Air and the original theatrical trailer. Starring Errol Flynn, Fred MacMurray and Ralph Bellamy among others. Full screen in color. Release in 1941. Runtime 132 minutes.
