The Do-217 heavy bomber represented an enlarged version of the venerable  Do-17 German, Luftwaffe bomber made famous during the Battle of Britain in 1940.  It first flew in 1938, was introduced late in 1940 and continued to serve as both a heavy bomber and night fighter through the end of World War II in Europe in May, 1945.  In all, approximately 1,900 of all variants were produced for the Luftwaffe.  This old, out-of-production kit from Japan is molded in green and clear plastic also includes authentic Luftwaffe markings and illustrated assembly instructions.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
