The focus of the book Eagle's Wings: Modelling The Aircraft Of The Luftwaffe In 1/48 Scale (Volume 1) is on the documentation of techniques necessary to build an existing, off-the-shelf example of various Luftwaffe aircraft. This book is laid out into the following seven chapters: 1) "Butcher Bird" - Focke-Wulf Fw 190 F-8; 2) "Anton" - Junkers Ju 87 A; 3) The "88" - Junkers Ju 88A-4; 4) "Racher" - Junkers Ju 188 A-1; 5) "Gustav" - Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6; 6) "Hornisse" - Messerschmitt Me 410 and "Komet" - Messerschmit Me 163 B-1a. There are two appendices: 1) Color Guide and 2) Accessories, Conversions and Decals. Included in this book are many color photgraphs produced in the "walkaround" format for each model kit reviewed, one large color profile of each aircraft, appropriate line drawings detailing a number of sub-assemblies and in some cases original period black and white photographs which will enhance the modellers perspective in building a given kit. This book is highly recommended for any modeller contemplating the building of an existing, off-the-shelf example of one of the aircraft profiled. This book is 128 pages and is in excellent condition. The author is Nicholas J. Wigman with Richard A. Franks (appendices and technical information). Edition published in 2002.
