The movie, Edge Of Darkness, is an action pact war drama is based on Robert Rossen's novel of the same name and takes place in a small Norwegian village during the dark days of World War II.  The plot centers on a common fisherman who leads the town's resistance efforts against the brutal occupying German Nazi troops.  The script for this movie is filled with tension as each of the major characers confronts their own human fraility in the face of the overwelming power of the German forces stationed in the Norwegian's fishing village.  In addition to an excellent cast and great acting, the movie Edge of Darkness also is filled with a number of remarkable scenes.  This movie is hard to find but well worth watching for anyone interested in World War II films that were actually produced during the war when the outcome of the conflict was far from assured.  Starring Errol Flynn, Ann Sheridan and Walter Huston among others.  Full screen in black and white.  Released in 1943.  Runtime 120 minutes.
