The movie, El Dorado centers on a wealthy landowner Bart Jason who is embroiled in a struggle with the McDonald family who own a large plot of land just outside of the town.  Jason hires gunman Cole Thornton to scare the McDonalds in the hope that they will backdown first.  Cole's old friend J.B who is the sheriff of the town warns him that involvement with the crooked Jason will get him arrested.  Further circumstances cause the hired gun to side with the MacDonald family who he defends by setting out to destroy Jason.  Starring John Wayne, Robert Mitchum and Edward Asner among others.  Widescreen in color.  Released in 1967.  Runtime 126 minutes
