This English Musketeer 1642 model represents a Musketeer of the English Civil War period (1642 - 1651). When under attack from Cavalry, the Musketeers, together with the Pikemem ringed around them, formed a good defense against horsemen. On the belt worn over the left shoulder hang twelve leather or wooden bottles, they were known as the "Twelve Apostles" and each carried a measured charge of gun powder. This British Musketeer 1642 model figure is molded in off-white plastic and includes the following features: 1) Display base; 2) Leather gun powder bottles; 3) Multi-position arms; 4) Musket and firing stand; 5) Sword; 6) Painting guide and 7) Illustrated assembly instructions. The model package is in very good condition. Never started and 100% complete with all parts and instructions inventoried.
