The two-place, low-wing, single engine Ercoupe, which was first built just prior to World War II, is known for its excellent performance and safe flying qualities.  A number of different companies continued to manufacture the basic Ercoupe model up through 1968.  The Ercoupe design features an eight cubic feet baggage compartment that can be quickly converted into a seat for a child weighing 75 pounds or less.  The Ercoupe sports an all aluminum fuselage with fabric covered wings, a complete electrical system, tricycle gear and twin tail / rudder assemblies.  The Ercoupe is considered “spinproof” making it one of the easiesr light aircraft to learn to fly.  This older, out-of-production Ercoupe scaled model was produced in Mexico and includes the following features: 1) Authentic colorful Ercoupe graphics including civilian registration NC 87456 & red accent stripping; 2) Display stand; 3) Molded in white color plastic; 4) Partial diorama; 5) Recessed panel lines and 6) Illustrated assembly instructions.  While this scaled model is basic in terms of the number of parts to assemble, it is relatively rare in that there have been few, if any, other plastic Ercoupe models produced since World War II.  The box is in very good condition but does have the remnants of tape on either end of the package.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
