The movie, Escape To Athena, focuses on a German P.O.W. camp located on a Greek Island during World War II.  The Fuehrer's "Antiquarian Reclamation" project centers on using Allied prisoners to assist the Austrian Commandant, Major Otto Hecht in the looting of ancient Greek Art on the treasure laden island.  While the looting is underway, Zeno the island's resistance leader and his girlfriend scheme to defeat the hated occupiers.  Zeno and his men first attack the P.O.W. camp to free the prisoners and then try to locate a secret submarine oil supply depot.  Along the way the resistance fighters and the freed P.O.W.s also must dismantle the communications equipment located on Mount Athens if they are to ultimately succeed.  This World War II themed film is full of action and boasts a star studded cast.  Starring Telly Savalas, Elliott Gould and Roger Moore among others.  Full screen in color.  Release date 1979.  Runtime 122 minutes.
