The book, F-4 Phantom II In Action (# 65) represents a pictorial study of the various McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II variants from initial prototypes up through the F-4 S Phantom II.  The F-4 Phantom is a two seat, twin-engine, all weather, long range supersonic fighter bomber that was initially introduced during the Vietnam War but continued in service with the U.S.A.F., U.S. Marines and U.S. Navy into the 1980s.  The F-4 G Wild Weasel was modified from a F-4 E Phantom II to provide reconnaissance and "Wild Weasel" electronic counter measure roles beginning in the late 1970s.  The F-4 Phantom II was widely exported to many countries including Australia, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Turkey and the United Kingdom.  The M and K variants of the F-4 Phantom II were produced exclusively for the British Royal Air Force and Navy and they were equipped with Rolls-Royce Spey Turbofan jet engines.  The major sections of "F-4 Phantom II In Action (# 65)" are as follows: 1) Introduction; 2) F4 H-1 (F-4 B); 3) F-4 N; 4) F-110 A (F-4 C); 5) RF-4 C Reconnaissance Phantom; 6) RF-4 B; 7) F-4 D; 8) F-4 E; 9) F-4 EJ; 10) F-4 F; 11) RF-4 E; 12) F-4 G Wild Weasel; 13) F-4 J; 14) F-4 S and 15) British Phantoms.  In addition to an informative narrative, "F-4 Phantom II In Action (# 65)" includes the following features: 1) Approximately 101 black and white photographs; 2) About 31 black and white illustrations; 3) 10 color illustrations; 4) 10 color side aircraft profile illustrations; 5) 1 three-view F-4 B Phantom II black and white illustration with specifications; 6) 1 three-view F-4 E Phantom II black and white illustration with specifications; 7) 1 three-view RF-4 E Phantom II black and white illustration with specifications; 8) 1 three-view F-4 G Wild Weasel Phantom II black and white illustration with specifications; 9) 1 three-view F-4 S Phantom II black and white illustration with specifications and 10) 3 color cover paintings.  This book is 58 pages and is in very good condition.  The author is Larry Davis with Don Greer (illustrations) and Kevin Wornkey (line drawings).  Edition published in 1984.
