The movie, Flat Top, is a World War II action film about a steel-nerved skipper who is involved in training Navy Carrier Pilots while at the same time battling a kind commander of another group new to the carrier.  The utilization of actual World War II era combat footage greatly enhances and adds to the realism of this film.  Starring Sterling Hayden, Richard Carlson and Keith Larson among others.  Full screen in black and white.  Released in 1952.  Runtime 85 minutes.
