The Fokker D. XXI was the Netherland's first line of aerial defence against the German Luftwaffe in World War II. Although hopelessly outnumbered and technically outclassed it fought valiantly in the hands of it's pilots. It was an aircraft in many ways typical of mid-late 1930's design in that it consisted of a tube-frame fuselage with fabric covering and a fixed landing gear. While the aircraft was exported to Denmark and Finland it was mainly used in the Netherlands until the end of hostilities with the Germans in 1940. Included in this Fokker D. XXI kit are the following: 1) Finely detailed plastic kit; 2) Photo-etched and white metal parts; 3) Complete cockpit interior; 4) Optional flaps and 5) Markings for 4 different aircraft. Factory sealed and never started.
