The F-27 is a twin turboprop short haul commercial aircraft designed and built by the legendary Dutch aircraft manufacturer Fokker.  Development work on the F-27 began in the 1950s as a replacement for the successful but dated Douglas DC-3.  The F-27, which is powered by two Rolls-Royce Dart engines, was designed initially to carry up to 28 passengers in a pressurized cabin on short-haul commuter airline routes.  That said subsequent variants were configured to carry up to 56 passengers on short haul flights.  Production of the F-27 began in 1958 and by the time it concluded in 1987 almost 590 units of all variants had been manufactured.  To date, F-27 Friendship aircraft have flown with commercial air carriers in over 40 countries.  The operational characteristics of the Fokker F-27 Friendship aircraft are as follows: 1) Cruise speed of just over 320 mph; 2) Range of almost 1,140 miles and 3) Service ceiling of 20,000 feet.  This Fokker F-27 Friendship scaled model includes the following features: 1) Authentic graphics for a Fokker F-27 Friendship as flown by All Nippon Airways (includes window decals); 2) Display stand molded in black plastic; 3) Model molded in off-white colored plastic; 4) Recessed panel lines and 5) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in new condition.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
