The German Leopard 2A5 / A6 main battle tank is the successor to the highly successful Leopard 1.  The Leopard 2A5 / A6 was first produced in 1979 and it has many enhancements over the Leopard 1 including a more modern Integrated Command and Information System, a longer 120 mm smoothbore main gun and additional supplemental armor.  The Leopard 2A5 / A6 is designed to use the more effective APFSDS-T Round which can penetrate thicker armor plate but is still under development.  This Leopard 2A5 / A6 model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for a Leaopard 2A5 / A6 operated by the German Bundeswehr; 2) Detailed chassis, hull and turret; 3) Two vinyl tracks and 4) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in new condition.  Never started and factory sealed.
