The book, German Secret Weapons, Chronicles the design, development and deployment of many German high-tech weapons during World War II.  While many of the powers involved in World War II had secret weapons, Germany went in for more diverse and ambitious projects than anyone else.  Had it not been for their muddled planning, political intrigue, personal rivalry and acute material shortages, Germany's secret weapons may have altered the course of events thereby changing the outcome of World War II.  Time, energy, skills and materials were wasted on futile projects and squandered on rival weapons while promising developments were abandoned for dubious reasons.  Another shortcoming of secret weapons development in Germany during the war had to due with a general reluctance to disagree with Adolf Hitler, even when his ideas were absurd.  The major sections of this book are as follows: 1) Secrecy and the Balance of War; 2) The Air War: The Rocket Powered Fighter; 3) Aircraft Armament; 4) Anti-aircraft Weapons; 5) The Land War: The Unseen Enemy; 6) The Sea War: Blue-print for the Wild Blue Yonder and 7) Sinking a Moored Warship.  In addition to an informative narrative, "German Secret Weapons" includes the following features: 1) Approximately 17 black and white vintage photographs; 2) 2 color photographs; 3) About 14 black and white illustrations and 4) Approximately 72 color illustrations.  This inside look at the fascinating subject of "German Secret Weapons" during World War II is sure to appeal to both military enthusiasts and historians alike.  This book is 64 pages and is in excellent condition.  The author is J. B. King with John Batchelor (illustrations).  Edition published in 1975.
