 The B-25 Mitchell bomber was an American twin-engined, medium bomber manufactured by North American Aviation.  It was used by the U.S. Army Air Corp. and Navy along with many Allied air forces in every combat theater of World War II.  After the war, it also saw extended service with many other air forces across four decades.  The B-25 Mithchell H / J variants were converted into heavy gunships in order to combat enemy shipping primarily in the Pacific Ocean combat theater.  The H variant could carry as many as fourteen heavy 12.7 mm machine guns and one 75 mm cannon while the J variant caried twelve heavy 12.7 mm machine guns.  The B-25 Mitchell carried a crew of six and  was powered by two 1,850 h.p. Wright R-2600-29 engines which gave it a top speed of about 286 m.p.h..  This older "Gun Ship" Mitchell B-25 H / J Versions model includes the following features: 1) Authentic markings for either a B-25 J or H variant as operated by the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II; 2) Clear cockpit and fuselage plastic glass areas; 3) Choice of clear or solid nose for different gun ship versions; 4) Detailed engines; 5) Detailed landing gear; 6) Recessed panel lines; 7) Painting guide in color and 8) Illustrated assembly instructions.  The box is in very good condition but does have some packaging tape remnants on the side.  Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions inventoried.
