The book, Harrier In Action (# 58) represents a pictorial study of the Hawker Siddeley Harrier close-support and reconnaissance Vertical / Short Takeoff and Landing (V/STOL) fighter aircraft. The Harrier has the distinction of being the only truly successful V/STOL design of the many that came into being during the 1960s. Although well known in military aviation circles, the Harrier became truly famous during the Falklands War in 1982 where it was used effectively against Argentina's military forces.
