The Hawker Hart was the leading member of a large family of Hawker bi-planes and like its successor the Hurricane, was an efficient aircraft and easily adaptable to a variety of military roles.  The Hart first appeared in 1929, went into squadron service in 1931 and quickly became the standard day bomber of the Royal Air Force.  Many versions of the aingle engine, two seat Hart were produced including the Audax, Demon, Hector, Hind and Osprey.  By the time production ceased, there had been produced an astonishing 67 distinct "Hart Variants".  The Hart had a top speed of 175 m.p.h., a range of 430 miles and was armed with one Vickers machine gun in the nose and a Lewis machine gun in the rear cockpit.  The packaging of this older, out-of-production kit is in good condition.  This kit includes the following: 1) Parts molded in medium gray; 2) Authentic markings for an aircraft operated in the 1930s by the Royal Air Force; 3) A clear display stand and 4) Illustrated assembly instructions.  Never opened and factory sealed.
