The book, Hawker Sea Fury In Action (# 117) represents a pictorial review of the last production piston engine aircraft built by the Hawker Company.  The Hawker Fury was developed towards the end of World War II as a replacement for the Hawker Tempest and Typhoon.  With the end of World War II, the plans to develop a Fury for the Royal Air Force (RAF) were dropped but the plan to build a carrier based Sea Fury continued.  Prototypes of the Hawker Sea Fury were flown in early 1945 and deliveries to the Fleet Air Arm (FAA) squadrons began in late 1945.  The Hawker Sea Fury was heavily armed and participated in the Korean War aboard both Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy carriers.  The Hawker Fury was phased out of FAA service in the mid-1950s in favor of first generation jet powered aircraft.  In addition to serving the air arm of the Australian, Canadian and British Navies, The Hawker Sea Fury was exported to Burma, Cuba, Egypt, Iraq, Pakistan and the Netherlands for use by their respective air forces.  The major sections of "Hawker Sea Fury In Action (# 117) are as follows: 1) Introduction; 2) Sea Fury Mk X; 3) Sea Fury FB11; 4) Korea; 5) Sea Fury T Mk 20; 6) Exports; 7) Royal Navy Historic Flight and 8) Civil Sea Furies.  In addition to an informative narrative, "Hawker Sea Fury In Action (# 117) includes the following features: 1) Approximately 93 black and white photographs; 2) 18 black and white illustrations; 3) 10 color side aircraft profile illustrations; 4) 1 three-way Hawker Sea Fury FB 11 black and white illustration with specifications; 5) 1 three-way Hawker Sea Fury T 20 black and white illustration with specifications and 6) 3 color cover paintings.  This book is 50 pages and is in good condition.  The author is Ron Mackay with Don Greer (colorist) and Perry Manley (illustrations).  Edition published in 1991.
